Tatsu Works is a company passionate about connecting communities through Tatsumeeko, our modern fantasy RPG. We are looking for an experienced 3D Game Artist in working on Tatsumeeko, the next game expansion to our popular Tatsu.GG platform used by more than 1.4 million Discord communities. We place fun gameplay, awesome user experience and mass adoption at the forefront of our creative vision.
We are searching for someone who brings new expertise, is independent, has fresh ideas, and enjoys collaborating with a multi-national cross-functional remote team to develop highly engaging gameplay features and bring positive user experiences all year round.
3D Game Artist Responsibilities
- Produce models/textures in accordance with artistic direction and production deadlines.
- Develop shaders, textures and lighting for the final rendering of levels.
- Create environment effects/animation/post-processing features to enhance environments
- Assemble scenes for organic and architectural environments based on level design briefs and environment concepts.
- Work with Art Team to create high-quality props and environments in accordance with the technical limitations of the product.
- Evaluate and check models from outsourced/junior artists that are supporting production.
- Create and maintain documentation for 3D workflow and production pipelines.
- Ensure art style is consistent with overall artistic direction
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have at least 3 years of experience within the Video Game Industry
- A passion for JRPG, Anime, Gacha Games is a plus
- Have a strong knowledge of Photoshop, Maya/Max or Blender.
- Have an in-depth understanding of Unity
- Have an excellent understanding of design basics
- Are organised and efficient
- Show an understanding of creating 3D Models with handpainted textures
- Are able to do pixel art, it will be a plus
