Tatsu Works is a company passionate about connecting communities through Tatsumeeko, our modern fantasy RPG. We are looking for a Music Intern to work on Tatsumeeko, the next game expansion to our popular Tatsu.GG platform used by more than 1.4 million Discord communities. We place fun gameplay, awesome user experience and mass adoption at the forefront of our creative vision.

 

Requirements:

Minimum commitment period of 3-6 months

 

Music Intern Responsibilities

  • Support the composition and production of music, notation, mixing and mastering.
  • Work closely together with other composers and producers.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the development team (Tech, Art, QA, Product, etc) to create the best game possible
  • Assist in composing and producing music based on the overall game's creative direction to entertain a massive audience

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Possess good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Are able and willing to pick up new tools as required
  • Are driven to work independently and are self-motivated
  • Possess a strong passion for music and games, and can communicate your ideas in an effective manner
  • Experienced and efficient in working on Logic Pro, ProTools and notation software (either Sibelius or Dorico)
  • Have a proven ability in composing various genres
  • Have working knowledge of Google Sheets (eg. Pivot tables, Index Match, etc) and other G-Suite functions
  • Can work efficiently within deadlines
  • Are comfortable working with remote team members in various time zones
  • Enjoy mobile gacha games and MMORPGs
  • Possess a strong grasp of English, both written and spoken

You may stand out if you:

  • Are able to mix and/or master orchestral music, blending both live recordings and samples
  • Have an understanding of music publishing rights
  • Have experience with implementing music through middleware, namely FMOD
  • Play an instrument and have basic recording gear
  • Fluent in Japanese or Korean
